Hazardous life

I don't talk much about my personal OR work life here, but here is a glimpse of what I look at (almost) every day! I have a whole series of lab photos. I should put more up here. Top: a waste recepticle. Bottom: cells under magnification.

Is that your sharps container there?

amanda - aww I'm glad :D

matt - no! those are just plastic pipet tips. we would get in a lot of trouble if we put sharps in there!

Everything plastic we have...serological pipets, pipet tips, tubes, etc, all go in our sharps container here. It's weird. But gloves and anything paper that isn't covered in blood or goo is supposed to go in the regular trash. It took a while getting used to that.

I've come to realize that what I think I love (and envy) most about your photographs is that you have this way of taking everyday, almost mundane looking things, and make them look beautiful and interesting. not that many of us look at cells everyday, but you know what i mean. :)
